UB SOD signs MOU with Khon Kaen University

In a significant step towards fostering collaboration and mutual growth, the University of Baguio School of Dentistry (UB SOD) and Khon Kaen University (KKU) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding geared toward international collaboration. The ceremony, held at North Eastern Science Park in Khon Kaen, Thailand, marked the beginning of a new chapter, aiming to combine the efforts of both schools for a shared vision.

The MOU outlines the framework for cooperation between the two entities, focusing on areas of mutual interest such as providing formal training to improve research protocols and publications and developing its clinical and public health curriculum programs. By formalizing this agreement, both organizations are poised to leverage their respective strengths and resources for greater impact and innovation.

The signing ceremony was attended by UB SOD Dean Dr. Ian Steve Bandaay and two faculty members studying in Thailand, Dr. Joseph Acosta and Dr. Joy Lane Cuntig. Representing KKU was their current Dean, Assistant Professor Ajiravudh Subarnhesaj, Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Supawich Morkmued, several faculty members, former Dean Prof. Waranuch Pitipaht, and former Vice Dean Assoc. Prof Teekayu Plangkoon Jorns.The presence of such esteemed guests highlighted the significance of the collaboration.

The signing of the MOU represents not only a formal agreement between two organizations, but it is also a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and growth. As UB continues on this journey together with KKU, both organizations are poised to make a lasting impact in the field of Dental Education.

The University of Baguio is KKU’s second partner dental school in the Philippines. Moving forward, both organizations are committed to implementing the terms of the MOU and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
